Gambro's track record of pioneering in renal care is second to none, from the first coil dialyzer in 1966 to today's cutting-edge technology. In the late 1960s, a single dialysis treatment could last 8-12 hours and the machines were wall-mounted so could not be moved. Since then, equipment has been developed to dramatically improve patient care and convenience.
The core science and technology itself has also developed, such as changes in treatment monitoring to improve patient outcomes. In over 40 years of leading the way on renal care, innovation has always been central to our commitment to both save lives and improve patients' quality of life.
